Last year at about this time Matt and I were married for just two short months and we were spending our honeymoon in beautiful Greece! I absolutely miss being in Greece and I also really miss traveling. Usually we spend July in Albania sharing with students about Jesus, but this year God had different plans for us. We are just 9 weeks shy of meeting our little Grayson so reminiscing about these travels will have to do for now.
The sunsets in Santorini are absolutely to die for! We watched them every night from our balcony or from wherever we were walking.
This cat is literally living the dream! He was simply enjoying the sunset while perched on this ledge. It’s as if that was his normal everyday spot, and it probably was!
If you ever go to Santorini, you must take a cooking class at the Selene. It is simply amazing! You get to tour the museum, learn about the agriculture and how they grow food, and how they make their wine. Also, you get to cook up a delicious appetizer and then enjoy a 3 course meal! Seriously, does it get better?
If you can swing it, I definitley recommend staying in one of the cave houses. You know, the pretty ones all stacked on top of each other that are so glamorously shown in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? You know exactly what I’m talking about 😉 This place was stunning and they had such great service. We had breakfast served to us on the balcony every morning. It was HEAVEN!
The Galini Cafe was one of our favorite places we went to. It was a quaint little cafe overlooking the sea and they serve AH-MAZING iced coffee. Literally to die for! I want to go back so badly!
The car pictured below… could have been our death. I recommend NOT renting a car, especially not a smart car. This thing was like a golf cart to drive. Terrible idea, never again!
Beautiful sights in Athens. There is so much history and architecture in this city. Simply amazing.
